North Coast Photography - Beautiful wedding photography on the Coffs Coast

Kareena and Chris!

Kareena first contacted us at the beginning of the year to photograph her and Chris' wedding. When she mentioned that the wedding would be in South West Rocks, Antony and I were secretly doing a happy dance as it is one of our favorite locations. This quaint little coastal village has so much to offer from an interesting history to amazing beaches, as well as fabulous locations for wedding photography.

We started our day with the Chris and the groomsmen and they were already in full swing with anticipation for the day.

Now as some of you know, Antony has a thing for tall grass and derelict buildings, because of the great photo opportunities they offer. Unfortunately, long grass can also have a tendency to house wildlife (ie. snakes) which scares the $#!% out of me!  Despite my fear of snakes I always manage to valiantly trek in behind him, and luckily I am yet to actually see a snake, but that doesn't mean that they haven't been around......  Hopefully I never see one! 

After hanging out with the boys in the  not so "snakey" grass we were off to see Kareena and the bridesmaids. When we arrived they were in the finishing stages of getting dressed but we did manage to get a few detail images of her gown before it was time for Kareena to get ready.

Thanks Kareena and Chris, we had a great time! You both looked fantastic and it was so much fun spending the day with you and the bridal party!

John and Emily's wedding!

John and Emily first contacted us in September last year to talk about their wedding photography, and after meeting with us decided to choose us for their wedding day. As they are locals, it was also easy to get together for an engagement shoot, which you can see here. We had a great time at the engagement shoot, so I was really looking forward to the wedding day!

Given Mary Ann was shooting a different wedding on Saturday, I gave my good friend James Day from 3words photography in Armidale a call and asked if he wanted to come along. Amazingly, he was free for the weekend, and decided to make a trip across to visit and have some fun. James is an extremely talented photographer, and it's always a pleasure to shoot with another professional, as you can both learn from the experience. As a result, John and Emily got both of us shooting, and as a result will get SO many photos they are not going to know what to do with them all!

We started as usual with the girls, where the Moet was flowing!

And while I photographed Emily, James was rocking it out with the boys!

The light outside was lovely, and James spotted this corner and took a wonderful shot.

The ceremony was on the Boambee Headland, overlooking the ocean. The scenery was a beautiful backdrop to a lovely ceremony from local celebrant Catherine Campbell.

After wards we headed off to the beach with the bridal party (who looked very stylish). What an awesome sky for photos!

As Emily and John live very close to Sawtell Headland we were always going to head over there for some final images. James and I were having a blast!

We headed down to the Sawtell Rockpool where I took the guys and James had his turn with the girls.

Then finally it was on to the Sawtell Surf club for a fun reception with loads of dancing and some very humourous speeches! Here's John as the centre of attention, lets hope Emily rescued him!

Congratulations to John and Emily and thanks to everyone we met on the day - we both had a great time and you were all such fun to be around. Thank you also of course to James for coming along on the day and photographing it with me - it was awesome (all except for the part where you told everyone I was your Dad - I am NOT that old!). Seriously great shots as per usual.

Nerys and Jamie's wedding!

Hi everyone, as most of you know Antony usually does the blog post, but he is super busy at the moment so I thought I would help him out with the blog post for the lovely Nerys and Jamie.

Jamie and Nerys met six years ago when she was visiting from the UK. Shortly after meeting the sparks started to fly and as they say, "The rest is history!". As Antony was booked for their wedding day, our second photographer Graeme photographed the wedding with me tagging along to help out.

Graeme and I began the day at Pac Bay with the girls. Bridesmaid Sarah was finishing up the girls' makeup and Jodi from Bellisimo Brides was in full swing with the hair. The final result is a STUNNING bride!

Did I mention how  AMAZING Nerys looked in her gown...

and she also had KILLER heels...

In a lovely touch, during the ceremony the guests were given butterflies to release to celebrate the wedding. It is said that if one lands on the bride or groom they are sure to have good luck, and with several landing on Nerys and Jamie I do believe they are off to a fabulous start.

 

After the ceremony we headed down to my favorite spot for location photos.

While we were there we spotted several whales splashing about in the water and Graeme was quick enough to catch one flicking it's tail. I wonder if it is also considered good luck for your wedding day?

Then it was back to Bonville Golf Resort for a few quick photos and the reception.

Thanks Nerys and Jamie for letting us capture your big day - Graeme and I had a great time with you and the rest of the bridal party, and we can't wait to share the rest of your images with you.
